The School

The school is located at 14 Kemp Dirve, in what used to be Dundas Central Public School. With conventionlly sized classrooms, this former public school has a large outdoor playground and an indoor gym. Our central location on a residential street is in walking distance for many families and is perfectly located to allow the elementary children to walk to the pool, the skating rink and the art school nearby.

The schools’ founder, Tony Evans, was born and raised in West Hamilton. He trained in Italy at the world’s preeminent Montessori elementary training institute, and before establishing DVMS was head of the elementary program at Dearcroft Montessori School in Oakville, one of Ontario’s oldest and finest Montessori schools. He was a Montessori child himself and chose to become a Montessori director, in part because of the positive memories of those times. He is currently on the board of the Canadian Council of Montessori Administrators.
