At Dundas Valley Montessori School we share with parents a goal of allowing each child to reach their full potential. We recognize children as remarkable individuals full of possibilities. We respect differences and encourage children towards a life of independence, compassion, grace, dignity, intelligence and capability.

At the essence of Montessori pedagogy there is a faith in the child. At Dundas Valley Montessori School we embrace the responsibility of allowing each child to develop in a nurturing environment designed to meet their developmental needs. We have created classrooms of astounding natural beauty intended to facilitate the realization of a nurturing classroom community.

We have a complete set of Montessori didactic learning materials that will, with caring and measured adult guidance, allow the children to teach themselves all aspects of culture. Eventually the child will find his or her own path to becoming a happy, contributing member of society. To do this we employ what is commonly referred to as The Montessori Method.

We operate under the guidelines of The Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) - the only Montessori organization recognized by Maria Montessori and her heirs.
